Why wear a head sock?Β
Some sanctioning organizations require a head sock (balaclava) if you have facial hair to pass tech. Some folks wear them to absorb sweat, protect their helmet interior and avoid the stinky funk factor after using a helmet all weekend. So what's the difference between a $45 head sock and a $119 head sock? The REALLY inexpensive ones are probably not SFI or FIA approved so you won't pass tech.Β
